Posted By: Bill H Thu, Oct 27, 2022 The mark reads "Chosen by and Made for the Golden Sea Company" (Jin hai gong si xuan zao - 金海公司選造). Google is devoid of references to this mark as is the latest "Marks on Chinese Ceramics" book published by Gerald Davison. However, the mark looks obviously to date to the pre-PRC Republic era, as otherwise the "Xuan" character would most likely would have been simplified as "选". |
