Subject:Help with Japanese Scroll Painting
Posted By: Stan Sun, Jun 03, 2018 IP: 75.68.107.184 I don't collect Japanese scroll paintings (yet), but I purchased a couple at auction to use for wall decoration. This one was sold as a "Woman playing a Koko" and my wife liked it. It is very attractive and even better when seen close up. The image is about 36 X 15 inches. Given the condition, I expect it was done recently. If anyone would be so kind as to translate the text and provide any insight, I would greatly appreciate it. |

Posted By: Stan Mon, Jun 04, 2018 That should be Koto (not Koko). Here is the faint seal below the signature. |
