Subject:Japanese Edo Period painting with poetry
Posted By: Unitopia Wed, Sep 28, 2022 IP: 81.226.42.48

Friends,

I would appreciate help to properly identify this painting and a translation of the poetry if possible.

The scroll measures 145 x 40 cm, and the artwork 93 x 30.5 cm. The wooden box is without any writing.

I think I have been able to identify the poet, GITOKU 祇徳 (1702 - 1754) (?). I will add an image of the whole scroll in the coming post.

Thank you kindly!

Stefan
