Subject:Request your help on translating calligraphy on Chinese Jar
Posted By: Roger Sun, Oct 24, 2021 IP: 2601:281:d300:975:84

Greetings!
Request your help translating the calligraphy on the side of this ginger jar. I like the art work on the other side. I would also appreciate any thoughts on age. Thanks!

Nice convertrd ginger jar. It's really trying to be old from the later 19th century.
Unfortunately imo it's not. The giveaway are the faces, hair and clothing. Very much I believe in the style and manner of later 50's possibly early 60's.
Regards,
Mark@imperial

The signature of artist in the last line on the left is too far to read. A better face-on picture could help.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Thank you for the new pictures.
Colophon,

Yuan Rongxing 袁榮興

* Chang River is the name of river in Jingdezhen

I still have some problems with the main inscription. His cursive script style is rather idiosyncratic, hard to read.

With regards,
I.Nagy
