Subject:Need help translating Chinese on old teapot

Hi,
I would greatly appreciate your help with the calligraphy on this old Chinese teapot. There are words on the lid as well but unreadable. The teapot is not marked on the base. I would welcome any comments on the teapot itself too!

The characters appear to have been seriously abraded away over time, but probably said something like "Beautiful people are like Jade"

美人如玉

just fyi "beautiful people" in this expression are normally taken to refer to beautiful women
