i have bought a metalic chinese object wich has 999 on it and some writing. Can someone translate the tekst for me? Tanks.

Based on the inscriptions, I think these metal plaques were removed from a Buddhist Arhat statue or image.

Inscriptions,
第十七 慶友 尊者　- Qingyu, the Seventeenth Honorable
Qingyou 慶友 is the 17th among the 18 Arhats (who has gained insight intio the true nature of existednce) in Buddhism.

民國年月造　- Made during Minguo (Republic of China) times
