Posted By: Bill H Mon, Nov 14, 2022 The ceramic vase has a mark of "Made by Kinkozan" (Kin ko zan zo/tsukuru - 錦光山造) and the bronze mark is indicated by an online seller to be "Cast by Juzan" (Ju zan chu zo - 壽山鑄造), both makers indicated in previous forum discussions to have been active in the Meiji period (1868-1912). I'm unsure where the Juzan foundry was, but Kinkozan was a well-known Kyoto studio. Hopefully others more deeply immersed in the Japanese arts than I am will add their expert input. |
