Subject:Decorative Plate Identification

I'm hoping you can identify this decorative Chinese or Japanese plate and any significance (if there is any) to the artwork. The mark on the back blends in with the plate so I had to darken the image to provide some contrast. Thank you.

Looks like a fabrication of some sort. A shadowy Guangxu four-character mark of 'Made during the Guangxu reign'. Nothing right about this item.

Bill, Thank you so much. I suspected it wasn't authentic and you confirmed that suspicion. It's very much appreciated.

The "shadowy" mark is actually my fault. I've included another photo without my modifications (except to crop the photo and resize the file). Because the back of the plate and the mark are white, I had to manipulate the light and camera angles to capture the image.
