I have a Chinese Tea Caddy and zero info about it. I would love to know what you know :)

I may be wrong, but in my view this is a very recently made object that is imitating pewter vessels from the 19th and 20th centuries. though the overall effect is a little crude, the casting of the details (key frets, floral scrolls) is more crisp and uniform that I would have expected, and the pictures are printed illustrations that have been inserted into the "frames" created by the vessel. Antique pewter teapots never have scenes attached in ink and color on silk as looks like the case is supposed to be here. Maybe someone else has another view.

Thank you Rat. I posted additional photos approximately 15 minutes after this listing. They're right under this ad and titled Tea Caddy2. They show all the markings on the side and bottom of the caddy. I had an appraiser look at it a week or so ago. He told me they were reverse painted, it didn't look to be 1890's yet it "might" be around 1900-1910. That was all he said... I needed more info than that :) Hopefully someone can shed a little light in my direction. I'm very grateful!

thanks for all the photos. my view is that this is a contemporary fantasy piece.
