As you probably know, these pieces are difficult to date from photographs. Among other things, this is influenced by the white balance, exposure time and aperture of the corresponding camera model as well as the skill of the photographer. The two light spots do point to the traditional set-up of a professional photo room and thus possibly to the work of an auction house. If the seller from whom you have these pictures does not offer any information about the dating, I would generally refrain from buying them if you intend to do so.
Now to the vase. If I were to hazard an educated guess, I would date the piece to the early 20th century, based on the shape of the foot ring, the thick glaze with the many firing-related discolourations and the way the glaze was scraped off the foot to prevent the vase from sticking to the ground during firing.
However, this is only an initial assessment and I would like to hear from the more experienced colleagues here in the forum. I hope to hear the opinions of other forum members and will follow the discussion with interest.
With kind regards
Madria
