Posted By: Bill H Fri, May 26, 2023 According to Wikipedia and the auction where I found the below image, China's non-Han Donghu AKA Hu people in Tang and earlier times developed a reputation for lion-dancing in festivals, leading them to be represented as Shishi Riders in later Chinese art. The rider in the image her has a similar hairdo as yours. |
