I found an online listing for a pair of Japanese carved masks with the following description:
OKINA&ONA" 翁媼 elderly couple. KAGURA Mask Signed by MITSUMINE "光峰".
I found the characters for Mitsumine in the forum archives but all associated with ceramic dishes and nothing for a sculpture like this one. Two other alternative possibilities for the same mark were Mitsuho and hikarihō, but neither one was archived either. Perhaps others have information.
