Subject:Unusual Footed Dish - Age ?

I've recently come across this unusual dish which measures c.26cm in diameter. It appears to be made from wood (rather than ceramic/porcelain).

I assume that it may be of Japanese origin and would be interested to know it's approximate age and any other information.

Hi. It is a Japanese black lacquer plate that has been hand painted. It is from the late 1800s to early 1900s. The artwork on yours is somewhat worn and faded. Here is one that I had some time ago. If you do a search for Japanese antique black lacquer plates, you should see some more.
