Further to my last post about my Ichikawa Shoemon print, I've found a reproduction of Ehon Butai Ogi, so the text is much clearer to make out (and hopefully translate!)

Ichikawa Shōemon in role of Onijū
The gourd shaped seal reads,
林　- Rin (Seal used by Shunshō)
Origin、
繪本舞台扇　Ehon Butai Ōgi　‐　Picture Book of Theatrical Fans (1770)
The picture depicts Kintoki (Kintarō).

Thank you I. Nagy, I thought it was probably kintoki, or someone similar, but it's good to have a second opinion!
