These are Thai guardian lions called 'Singha', same name as one of Thailand's leading brands of beer. They often are seen flanking steps at the entrances to palaces, temples and some commercial buildings in carvings of marble and bronze like yours. They also are reproduced in this classic style by Thai bronzesmiths, who are quite accomplished in such arts.
