Subject:Dating of a bowl
Posted By: Minh Thuc Fri, Feb 17, 2023 IP: 171.225.250.212

Hello,
I have a bowl and I am not sure about its dating as being at the end of Ming dynasty.
Can you please give some information?
Thank you.

I've never owned a bowl like this but believe it is an example of late Ming to Kangxi period production from a Minyao (popular) kiln that was meant for the lower end of the domestic market. The untranslatable mark resembles some used by factories of that era. A good specimen if I'm right, but not of great value.

Best regards,

Bill H.
