Hi, I have this object, carved Rosewood I think. Can anyone read the signature and tell me what the object is?

WWWJDIC indicates the two character mark reads down as the given names 光玉/Kōgyoku (こうぎょく), Kōtama (こうたま) and Mitsutama (みつたま)(g).

The URL link below has an auction listing indicating a Japanese artist named Kōgyoku lived from 1814 – 1870.

Netsuke that goes with a box called an Inro that attached by a cord to a Japanese belt. The box is snugged by a slide called an Ojime that the cord runs through between the Inro and Netsuke.
