Subject:Red seal mark on ginger jar?
Posted By: Stephen Dickson Fri, Aug 05, 2022 IP: 2a02:c7f:c3f:4e00:bc

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help identify this seal mark. From what I have seen online I presume this is a modern pot with a Qing - Qianlong mark, but the order of the marks seems to differ from what I have found with the ‘da’ mark coming second rather than first. And the last character doesn’t conform with the Zhi versions I have seen. Could this last character be something else? Any suggestions, guidance or comments would be very welcome.

So the 6 marks would seem to run from top right?:
Nian (Period)
da
Qing
Qian-
long
Zhi (Made)??

Many thanks, Steve
