Hi everyone,

I have this bowl, but I don’t know the time, the meaning of the brand, and if it has any value. I would very much appreciate any clarification on that point.

Best regards!

The bowl has an apocryphal mark of "Made during the Kangxi reign" (Kang xi nian zhi - 康熙年製). The Qing Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) was the dynasty's longest-ruling. This bowl, which appears to be a brush washer, dates to circa 1900 (late Guangxu reign - early Republic). Here are links to auction results for a couple of similarly shaped washers, one restored, from around the same period.

A, very nice brush washer. I believe it's a example from the Republic period 1912-1949.
