Hello Again,

Below are three photos of a bottleneck Satsuma vase measuring approx. 30.8 cm (12 1/8") in height and marked as shown. Thank you all in advance for any assistance you can provide identifying the age of the vase and translation of the mark.

A little more time on Gotheborg has paid dividends. So am I correct in understanding this to simply say (under the Shmazu crest) "Satsuma," or "Satsuma Yaki?"

It's just saying "Satsuma" 薩摩.
