Subject:Request your opinion on this vase
Posted By: Roger Thu, Dec 30, 2021 IP: 2600:8800:3008:e600:

Hi All,
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this vase. I think it is a Chinese vase and appears to be old. Thanks so much!
Cheers

You don't mention how large these are and I can't get an accurate grasp of size from your photos, but these jars with late 18th-19th century riverine landscape decoration and lotus bud knops strike me as well-painted and worth as much as US$$2000 at auction.

Here are a couple of results found on liveauctioneers.com:

https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/24864677_a-pair-of-chinese-blue-and-white-ginger-jars

Finally, some glimpses of a circa Qing Jiaqing reign (1796-1820) 24-inch tall blue & white riverine landscape jar with foo dog knop for comparison.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Hi Bill! Thanks so much for your comments and observations! I have attached some better pictures to this post as well. The vases measure approximately 13 1/2 inches tall with the lids and 10 1/2 inches tall without the lids. Cheers!
