Hello.

I was wondering if you or anyone you may know, can translate a Hanko Stamp for me?

I have a piece of beautiful pottery that has a red Hanko Stamp on the bottom. I am big on finding out the history of things and I would like to see if this has a story behind it. What makes this piece so unique to me is that it was crudely turned into a lamp at some point in it's life and when I took the lamp parts off to display the pottery it had a red Hanko stamp that was hidden on the bottom because of the lamp parts. It was very obvious to me it was turned into a lamp way later.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated

The marking reads,
1, 麗　-　Li - Chinese surname
2, 麗　-　Ryo　- another (historic) name for 高麗　Goryo (Korea)

But your translation is the first that says names. And I thank you so much for that. Your translation is the direction I am trying find out... Names.

"漢字", meaning "Han (dynasty) words" (characters) are all the same, just in different languages.
