I would very much like to know who the people in the painting are and what significance they may have in Indian culture. I think the central figure is Lord Krishna.Thanks for your help.

I am not an expert, but I think the painting represents the monkey Hanuman in front of Rama on a horse.
As for your other painting, it probably represents Rama and Sita
