Subject:A stone statue of Guan Yin

Dear friends,
It is a very heavy stone statue of Guan Yin (33”) made of sand stone (?) as I was told. There are carvings with red pigments as can be seen.
I would greatly appreciate your inputs on it culture style, period, material, ...

I looked up online and apparently sandstone does not look like this ...

Thanks so much for pointing it out! It does seems like old marble !? To be honest, I do not know anything about stones 😊
