Dear Forum,

Is anyone able to translate this signature on a Japanese Woodblock print?

Thanks in advance and much appreciated
JJ

The signature reads "Kunisada aratame nidai Toyokuni ga" (国貞改二代豊国画), "Kunisada changed his name to Toyokuni II", a signature used by Kunisada I in 1844. The censor seal is Fukatsu "普" (Fukatsu Ihei), the publisher's logo is Mori (森) (Moriya Jihei).
The print to which this signature belongs is the left sheet of a musha-e triptych.
