Subject:Looking for information on vase. Thank you.

Looking for any information on the pictured object, that has been in our possession for 30 years (originally from yard sale). Subject looks Japanese but suspect maybe of Chinese manufacture. Vase and marking pictured. Any information anyone could offer as to origin, age, value would be most appreciated, Thank you.

I think that this vase is indeed a Chinese imitation of Japanese Satsuma, 2nd part of the 20th century.
Chinese because of the used decorations and the way the wisteria is painted.
But compared to a lot of Chinese Satsuma imitations, this is one of the nicest I've seen.
No idea what the mark reads.
Regards,
Martin.

Dear Martin,
The mark reads,
藝苑 - Yìyuàn (Chinese) Geien (Japanese)

With regards,
I.Nagy
