Subject:Help with markings?
Posted By: Lauren C. Wed, May 05, 2021 IP: 2603:300c:110:c600:7

Hello & thank you in advance to anyone who can help me! I have this beautiful little plate, roughly 5" in diameter. I am unable to make out a couple of these symbols on the back. Does anyone know what this says or means? Thank you!!

The apocryphal six character base mark reads,
大明成化年製 - Made in the Great Ming Empire during the Chenghua Reign*

Chenghua: Title of reign (1465-1487)

The stylized patterns of three-quarter circles in paralell series are indicating waves.
The other motif looks like knotted rice-ears - the symbol of abundance.
With regards,
I.Nagy

Markings read: Made during the Chenghua Reign (1465-1487) of the Great Ming Dynasty. Looks 20th Century from what I can make out in the photos.
