Subject:Signature on a Modern Japanese Bowl/Chawan

Hi All,

This is a modern (so far as I can tell) Japanese raku? chawan/bowl, and it has a mark to the side that may or may not mean anything (almost looks like a branch with a single leaf), as well as a handwritten signature to the foot. Hoping someone can make out the signature, as I'd love to learn more about the person who made this piece.
