This is, for the time being, the final attempt at a reconstruction. It was presented at the IATS-seminar in Bergen, Norway 2016. The main stairs seem not to extend to the upper roof, judging from the photo by Josef Vanis. That’s why secondary stairs on the roof itself are necessary. A rather high flight of stairs give access to the upper floor of the tower, a feature found in many monasteries. It is easy to imagine the location of the trumpeting monks and of Aufschnaiter from the photos by Spencer Chapman, Schäfer and Harrer on this plan.
