Fig. 37:
Experimental reconstruction of the Medical College on Chakpori, Lhasa

Plan D / Mezzanine of Prayer Hall
Research and drawing by Knud Larsen
2015

This is, for the time being, the final attempt at a reconstruction. It was presented at the IATS-seminar in Bergen, Norway 2016. The mezzanine is accessed from the main stairs. A single step leads up to the second level of the tower. From the mezzanine one looks down into the Prayer Hall and out on Lhasa through the large windows. A door gives access to the roof where a flight of light wooden stairs give access to the roof over the mezzanine. If one continues on one comes to the open air toilet.
