Fig. 30:
Experimental reconstruction of the Medical College on Chakpori, Lhasa

Façade South
Research and drawing by Knud Larsen
2015

This is, for the time being, the final attempt at a reconstruction. It was presented at the IATS-seminar in Bergen, Norway 2016. A comparison with the 2009 proposal shows that the building is now larger, the mezzanine with its roof has been added, the tower has become higher and stairs from the roof of the mezzanine are giving access to its upper level. Light stairs give access to the mezzanine roof from the roof over the Prayer Hall. The small, square stupa in the foreground has been moved somewhat east to a more correct position. Remains of its foundation most probably still exist so that the exact position can be found.
