Subject:Vase - Late Qing or Republic ? Translation please
Posted By: Peter Fri, May 29, 2020 IP: 178.165.128.231

Hello

I'd be grateful if any expert would be kind enough to translate the Chinese inscription on this vase.

Also, an approximate date would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,

Peter

Picture 1,
Title inscription,
連生貴子 - Give birth to one son after another
(Typically used sentence as a blessing to a newly-wed couple)
Picture 2,
First line of the colophon (2nd line from left)
於珠山之西軒 - At Xixuan of *Zhushan
(* Zhushan = Name of district in Jingdezhen city, Jiangxi)
Second line of colophon (1st line from left) with
the name of artist is too much out of readability.
The same can be said for the right side of longer inscription.

With regards,
I.Nagy
