The brilliantly coloured rug in a combination of 12 different vegetal and chemical dyes of deep, mid and light indigo blue, vegetal green, yellow, tan, red, orange and salmon, pale pink and white, is woven in a pattern which echoes the applique textiles of Tibet's temples.
A keyfret border within plain edges surrounds a field of 'patchwork' triangles which encompass two opposing panels of flower-filled vases. Unusually, an inscription in Tibetan characters is woven into each panel.
