A Chinese bronze garlic-necked wine bottle of unusual elegant compressed form, the surface with a smooth dark brown patina and splashes of malachite encrustations. 26cms high, Western Han dynasty, 2nd to 1st century BC.
Provenance: The estate of the late award winning costume designer Anthony Powell (1935-2021)
Believed purchased at Christie's London late 1990's.
