These are fragments of larger Chinese carved panels such as might bordered frames for doorways, standing screen panels, etc. The first photo shows off the carving skills of a Master artisan. Probably late 19th century, in my opinion.

Here are a couple of late 19th century carved panels incorporated into a contemporary frame for a mirror.
