Very esoteric jade piece to share

Hi everyone,

I have got an old jade piece I really have no clue what mystical animal it is depicting.

Seems to me it is a crossed between a sphinx and a pixiu.

Based on my knowledge this jade piece is fashioned probably not from the Han style, might be other ethnic style, ie. liao dynasty, etc. But then again I might be wrong.

Please share your thought and shed lights on this really nice but esoteric piece. Many thanks.
