Re: Identify this object, censer? |

Message Hello PJD, I have an idea but it would need verification, I have had some similar style Tibetan silver spoons once with a similar mark/logo/design, and I cant tell from the photos but it looks like it is possibly silver/silver plate and the black would be the tarnish of that. It also looks quite thin and the design looks pressed, so I don't know if you would use an incense burner with a thin material as it will perish quickly also I don't see any openings in your lid so it might have been for more of a scented box or possibly the dragons might have holes in there mouths for an effect of smoke when incense is burning or the heads could have supported chains and been used like "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q34onQeK11I" one, or it could be a box..... or I'm completely wrong, I just thought I would share my best guesses with you hoping it helps, sorry I cant be exact. Kind regards, Xbet Post a Response |
