Japanese Bronze and Silver Sculpture identificaton |
Posted By: Nels Gullerud Posted Date: Jan 25, 2017 (09:51 PM) |
Message Acquired a fantastic bronze and silver statue of gnarled pine tree with male and female cranes on branch with 2 babies in nest. Great detail, birds are in silver, tree is in bronze. I think it is about 14" tall and it stands on a fine rosewood stand. The only marks I could find were on the underside of the standing crane. Can anyone help me identify it or tell me more about it? Not sure if the birds are silver or a plate or overlay on bronze. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
