Unidentified China vessel w/ craftsman's signature |
Posted By: Domingo de la Torre Posted Date: Dec 29, 2015 (06:13 PM) |
Message Hello... It's not carved Cinnabar, wood, clay, or porcelain. Appears to be a white hard-stone crystal. Multi-layer glaze/coating, one of which is 'copper', not copper-color. Finishing process unknown, no comparable examples. Approx. 3pounds, 9" tall, and 4.25" dia.. Craftsman's signature well hidden within intricacies of carving. 'Copper' appears where dark chocolate finish has worn, and egg-shell color appears where 'copper' has worn. Any Ideas? Thank you for any input. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
