Woodblock ? Asian Tinted Prints-Photographs ? Buddhist Monks? |

Message Hi, I am wondering; does anyone have any experience with tinted photographs of Asian theme ? My Aunt mailed me a set of four that she's has for a long time ( erghhhhh the glass in the frames broke in transit and I was cut ) For some reason, the pictures just do not make sense to me ? How are these photographs ? Were they taken from a drawing or something ? They have a silver-blue tint around the edges. I have no clue what they could be. Are they monks or priests? I have 2 others where the glass is still in the frame ( even though the frame on one is broken) They have the same type of theme. I think they are fabulous but I would love to know more about them. Can you help at all ? The single bit of information on them is that they were framed at the Julius G. Hass FRAMES, PRINTS, OBJECTS OF ART, 839 Madison Ave, NEW YORK, N.Y. Bet. 69th & 70th St. Established 1879 ![]() ![]() |
