| Japanese (?) Jar (clambering child?) |

Message Hi, and thanks for looking!! Attached are two images of a jar (with lid) that I've had for a while and know absolutely nothing about. From the little bit of browsing/amateur research I think it might be Japanese? As to the clambering figure on the side, I haven't seen anything like this anywhere.. Can any kind and more knowledgeable soul help please?
