Help identifying this wooden diety |
Posted By: Mark Posted Date: Feb 23, 2015 (06:14 PM) |
Message Hi, I have just picked up this pair of wooden (2 foot) deities from a local auction and would like any feedback on who it is, from which country and from what period. The deity looks to be covered in some form of thin lacquer or varnish, and also has what remains of gold relief or paint on key points of it's body (ears lobes, robe, sash, base) I can download better photos later if required. Thanks in advance for any help available. Mark ![]() |
