Painted silk still life |

Message Looks quite lovely but I don't have any insights into this painting (in case anyone was wondering!). It doesn't look like the typical Chinese export painting on pith paper, yet is set off on its own rather than part of a larger scene of "100 antiques" where similar bowls of fruit might appear. Perhaps it is Chinoiserie (ie by a European artist in Chinese style), but my knowledge is limited to Chinese paintings in traditional styles I'm afraid. Post a Response |
