Gold Vasudeva I Kushan stater - real or fake? |
Posted By: Ayla Yulong Posted Date: Aug 12, 2014 (10:17 AM) |
Message Dear Asianart members, Many years ago I purchased a golden Kushan stater online from a large numismatic auction house in Belgium. They listed it as being a Vasudeva II coin but I've done my research, looked at many many pictures of Kushan coins from all kings and have come to the conclusion it is an early Vasudeva I coin. If it's authentic that is. I started doubting its authenticity after realizing their Vasudeva I/II mistake. It also looks almost too perfect. I hope I can get an expert opinion here :) I tried to picture the coin as best as possible. Hope it is good enough. Many thanks in advance, Ayla Yulong ![]() |
