Lin Fengmian painting |
Posted By: Tim Posted Date: Aug 02, 2014 (04:50 PM) |
Message I traded a large original oil painting of a renown Russian/American artist from New York for this painting supposedly by Lin Fengmian. Visible area of the painting measures 26" x 25" which seems consistent with his paintings of women with flowers in vases, but the quality of this paintings is much more like those of his small paintings. You can see creases from when the painting was rolled as a scroll painting. Very good gallery framing from the 1980's. I can't match the seal and the signature appears closer to how he signs his smaller paintings, not what I can find on his larger paintings. Thoughts? Thanks! Tim |
