VERY old bonsai or censer pot tests positive for silver Please Help ID |

Message Hello experts. I have this what seems to be a very very old Asian bonsai or censer pot with relief symbols that have worn down over the years and a white substance that I think is calcium deposits but I'm not certain. It does test positive for silver using 18k acid and a scratch plate, it's been tested many times and in may different areas. Its 4 1/2" by 3 1/4" and weights over 17 ounces. I cant see any makers marks or hallmarks but it could be under the thick patina. Can anyone please help me date and value it, my intent is to sell it. Thank you so much. Jeanne ![]() ![]() ![]() |
