Japanese Tokkuri and Gyonomi (Sake Set) inscription |
Posted By: Jennifer Posted Date: Nov 04, 2012 (06:23 PM) |
Message Hi everyone, I've bought a Japanese sake set, but can't make out the inscription. Basically I am trying to find out if this is a commonplace item, or not. And hopefully to have it ID'ed and valued. It appears to be a crackled celadon, with a marble bottom. Weirdly, the cups are different sizes, though it is obvious that it is a matching set. The Tokkuri has a dimple in the middle and appears to be mid-century. Thanks for any help with this! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
