Hand Carved Dragon Opium Pipe |
Posted By: Tom Alexander Posted Date: Nov 04, 2012 (12:11 AM) |
Message I have a Hand Carved Dragon, Opium Pipe and have no idea of age or area it came from. It is 27" long x 13" high, carved out of a green Heavy stone i think but could be ceramic i do not know how to tell. Very detailed work with either Bone or Ivory carved pictures on both sides. Was able to find identical one online but that one stated it was carved out of wood and bone. The URL attached shows the identical one. Mine doesn't have the mouth piece and one tooth is missing. I have attched 3 pics, Top veiw, Bottom inscription, and one of the Ivory carved sides, with the green stone behind it. Any help on what its origin is and an estimated value range, would be appreciated. Thank You Tom tom.a.599@hotmail.com ![]() ![]() ![]() Post a Response |
