Message Hello Leeanne, The picture itself is a little bit to small to make any judgement but I suppose your vase looks about this (see enclosed pictures. Only this one stands in my garden and (normally) has flowers in it. The vase isn't old and not made from ivory. Its (rather)modern and made of resin. Regards, Arjan ps. the piece is probably Chinese indeed but Meiji is a Japanese period.
