Message Arjan was on right track, I think. The paper tag probably read "Stoneware / Made in __." The word 'stoneware' is an alien term in China. It might have been used for export to European or USA department store, but not happily. The tag looks in middle 20th-century style, possibly just before World War II. I like the glaze, no matter where made. Good luck, Cal Post a Response |
